Make AI write like you, not like a robot
Adjectives like "friendly but professional" do not work. Showing your own writing does.
The most common complaint about AI writing is that it sounds like nobody. Smooth, polite and empty. The fix is not a cleverer prompt; it is giving the tool something it cannot guess: how you actually sound.
Show, do not describe
Instructions like "warm but professional" mean something different to everyone. Instead, paste two or three pieces of writing you are proud of: an email, a post, a short message to a customer. Ask the tool to describe the style in five bullet points.
Keep a voice guide
Save those bullet points, add a few words you always use and a few you never use, and put the guide at the top of every writing prompt. It takes seconds and removes most of the robotic tone.
Edit the last ten per cent yourself
Even with a good guide, add one real detail only you know: a customer's name, a number from last week, an opinion. Specific details are what make writing sound human, and they are exactly what a tool cannot invent honestly.
